My wife, Judy, and I were both raised in Christian homes in Minnesota.  If the church's doors were open, we were there.  I, myself, went to a Christian elementary school.  We both attended a Christian high school and a Christian college.  However, it wasn't until we found ourselves in California, shortly after we were married, that the Lord showed us more fully how to have an intimate relationship with Him.  The Lord led us to a Christian group of mostly young people that was an outcome of the Jesus People movement of the late 1960's and early 1970's.  It radically changed our lives.  We discovered that the Lord's Spirit lived in us and that we could live by that Spirit.  We found out that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead was in us and available to us by simply turning to Him and calling on His name.

     In my life, I have been a high school teacher, a house painter, a licensed marriage and family counselor, and since 2001, a professional artist.  Judy and I have been married since 1971. We have four daughters and 10 grandchildren.  We have lived in Florida for over 30 years now but spend our summers in Minnesota and other states visiting our children and our grandchildren.

     We both feel especially fortunate that we belong to Him and are the recipients of the marvelous riches He lavishes on His own.
